It is by pure choice that Christophe, a young freshly graduated engineer, has entered the world of advertising film production of which he became one of the main actors for more than 20 years. His scientific training gave him the tools to perfectly understand and master the various springs of making a film, as well as the rigor needed to achieve the most demanding productions ...

Having entered the profession as a production assistant, Christophe has had the opportunity to assist all trades implemented in the production of a film (from machinery to art department, through staging, camera...) and thus perfectly understand the entire production chain. His rapid rise, from production assistant to producer in 5 years, also gave him the opportunity to train on the sets of the greatest directors such as Jean Paul Goude, Jean Baptiste Mondino, Olivier Dahan, Jonathan Glazer, Tony Kaye ...

In 1998, Christophe founded the production company Whys Us in association with Première-Heure group. For 18 years he initiated and actively contributed to its complete restructuring (3 years after his arrival the whole group is reorganized based on Why Us example and thus sees the birth of the group’s labels). Christophe Starkman's ability to structure budgets, plan strategies for each project and build strong relationships with his teams and clients are his key assets. His desire to organize for his directors an environment in which they can express themselves at best while meeting his clients needs is the core of his job. He has thus developed his work with great artists from cinema (Wong Kar Waï, Olivier Dahan, Roman Polanski...), advertising (Sebastien Chantrel, Arnaud Roussel) and fashion photography (David Sims, Stephane Sednaoui, Tom Munro... and especially Peter Lindbergh who he will accompany for 15 years).
